Google Nexus One: supporterà il divx?

Questa mattina, mentre leggero i miei feed, ho scovato una notizia molto interessante, che afferma che il Google Nexus One supporterà nativamente il formato video Divx.

Prima, però, devo fare una premessa. Il sito da cui ho letto la news, infatti, afferma che non vi sia alcuna differenza tra HTC Bravo, Passion e Nexus One.

La cosa, però, mi suona un pò strana, in quando fino ad oggi io, come molti altri blogger, avevo capito che il Nexus One era un altro telefono rispetto ad HTC Bravo.

Purtroppo in queste ultime settimane si è creata una gran confusione attorno a questi smartphone, per cui è difficile capire cosa sia vero e cosa non lo sia.

Ad ogni modo, riporto la notizia per intero. Prendetela comunque con le pinze.

In rete hanno iniziato a circolare rumor ed immagini che affermano che il Nexus One sarà in grado di supportare in modo nativo i filmati in formato Divx, grazie al software NextPlayer, sviluppato appositamente per Android.

Il programma, infatti, avrebbe superato recentemente (il 9 Novembre) la certificazione per il formato Divx, su richiesta (sembra) proprio di HTC. Inoltre, tramite un nuovo aggiornamento, questo programma supporta ora il processore SnapDragon, lo stesso montato sul Nexus One di Google.

Ricordo, infine, che NextPlayer è lo stesso programma multimediale utilizzato da Samsung per i suoi smartphone Omnia 2, OmniaLite ed OmniaPro.

A questo punto non ci resta che attendere il suo rilascio ufficiale anche per Android. Staremo a vedere come evolverà la situazione.

Certamente, se arrivassero i Divx nativi anche per tutti gli smartphone Android, questo OS farebbe un bel salto in avanti per quanto riguarda il comparto multimediale.
