Nokia: in arrivo firmware PR1.1 anche per N8 e C6-01

Nella giornata di ieri è stato rilasciato da Nokia l’aggiornamento firmware PR1.1 per Nokia C7.

Il nuovo firmware non va ad introdurre grosse novità, ma Nokia ha confermato che nelle prossime ore (se non già da subito) l’aggiornamento sarà reso disponibile anche per gli altri smartphone Symbian^3.

Tra questi troviamo ovviamente Nokia N8 e Nokia C6-01.

Il nuovo firmware sarà disponibile inizialmente soltanto per i modelli nobrand, mentre arriverà nelle prossime settimane anche per quelli brandizzati.

Il nuovo firmware PR1.1 può essere installato sia tramite OTA (direttamente da telefono, senza fili) che tramite Ovi Suite.

Questo il changelog ufficiale con le (poche) novità introdotte:

• Meeting requests can be accepted directly from email invitations;
• Maps integration in email, which means people can view the meeting location on the map when the address is mentioned in the location field in the invite.
• For Nokia N8 users: new Quick Office 6.4 editor version, which offers editing possibilities and allows zooming in & out in Word documents.
• Three high quality games will also be preloaded on new devices – Need for Speed Shift, Real Golf and Galaxy on Fire. (In some countries, Need for Speed is replaced with Asphalt 5). For current N8 users, these are available for free from Ovi Suite & Ovi Store.

Come vi ho annunciato in precedenza, purtroppo non sono state introdotte molte novità.

Attendiamo con ansia un nuovo aggiornamento per vedere finalmente l’arrivo del nuovo browser internet e tanto altro ancora.
