Opera Mini in fase di approvazione da Apple

Opera Mini è pronto per approdare su iPhone.

Il software è ormai pronto per essere distribuito, ed è stato inviato ad Apple per l’approvazione.

Se dovesse venire approvato, potrebbe essere il primo vero browser internet alternativo disponibile per iPhone ed iPod Touch.

Conoscendo la politica restrittiva di Apple, però, difficilmente il software farà la sua comparsa su AppStore, soprattutto perchè, un nuovo browser non farebbe altro che duplicare una funzione dell’iPhone, cosa espressamente vietata dalle condizioni imposte da Apple per l’approvazione di programmi.

Inoltre, per permettere il caricamento così veloce delle pagine internet, le pagine vengono prima inviate ai server di Opera, per essere poi inviate nuovamente, compresse e renderizzate, ai nostri smartphone. Anche questo potrebbe essere un motivo del probabile rifiuto da parte di Apple.

Ad ogni modo, staremo a vedere come evolverà la situazione.
